A Little About Me
I am a board certified Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, who works with different types of population. I provide care for clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout and/or bereavement. I am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who has experience with working with caregivers that take care of children or young adults with autism. I also provide Faith-based/Christian counseling if you are interested, for individuals that simply is looking for someone with your same faith beliefs. I have experience using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and mindfulness approaches. My treatment approach is rooted in evidenced-based practices that focus on a holistic perspective (mind-body-spirit).
Where the Journey Begins
My Therapy Approach
My treatment approach is rooted in evidenced-based practices that focus on a holistic perspective (mind-body-spirit) and includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Applied Behavior Analysis therapy (ABA).
What Clients Can Expect To Take Away From Sessions
My main goals for my clients include reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, reducing/preventing stress and burnout, working through the process of grief, improving overall well-being, and helping clients learn new skills they can use in their everyday lives with their family, friends, and community. I am also very passionate about helping caregivers that take care of children or young adults with autism. I have both personal and professional experience in this area.
My Thoughts On Mental Health Care
I have a unique view and experience with mental health care and strongly believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. I am passionate about helping my clients achieve their goals while providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings. I would like to conclude with an inspiring phrase I was told when I was younger that has personally helped me throughout my life. “You are stronger than you think”, sometimes it just takes a small change in perspective to see it and I would be honored if you would confide in me and allow me to help you see that for yourself.
